Happy Book Birthday to Imminent Domains: Reckoning with the Anthropocene by Alessandra Naccarato! This new addition to our Essais Series—which takes on intractable questions and asks them anew—invites readers to join a contemplation of survival—our own, and that of the elements that surround us.
A much anticipated follow up to Naccarato’s poetry book, Re-Origin of Species, winner of the 2022 AICW Bressani Literary Prize for Poetry, Imminent Domains builds on meditations regarding ecological interdependence, illness, and the inseparability of environmental change and human meaning.
Imminent Domains has been drawing lots of attention, already having appeared on several lists, including 49th Shelf’s Most Anticipated Fall Nonfiction, and CBC Books’ 60 works of Canadian nonfiction to watch for and 22 books by past CBC Literary Prizes winners and finalists. We are so excited for readers to finally meet this transformative collection.
