We’re excited to share that Jess Taylor’s short story ‘Just Pervs,’ the title story from her Lambda Literary Award nominated collection, has been adapted for the stage by playwright Reid Millar. Perverted Assemblages Collective presents the show’s inaugural (virtual) run, opening today, March 30, and streaming nightly until April 8.
Just Pervs: The Play centres around a group of teen girls who form a union of pervs within their high school, and follows each of them into their twenties. As they come of age, the friends navigate ideas of grief and liberation, and what it truly means to be autonomous young women.
In anticipation of opening night, Playwright Reid Millar organized a Zoom roundtable discussion with actors Millie Herridge, Sanskruti Marathe, and Cassandra Henry to discuss their experience of performing in the online adaptation of Just Pervs: The Play. We’re pleased to share this video with you.
