Joni Murphy’s latest novel Barbara is in many ways an homage to cinema. Following the life and times of the fictional actress Barbara, the novel jumps from the sets of austere 1950s kitchen sink dramas to countercultural 1970s gothics. Naturally, we thought it would be a great idea to make a watch list for the book. Joni has generously created a list of her top 100 films of all time, from which we’ve selected our seven favourite titles. Enjoy!
