Reviews:
“Lisa Robertson (matador) side-steps irony and thus illustrates how one might undermine and long at the same time. It’s a pretty amazing li’l lean book.” —Jake Kennedy for Jacket2
“The Men is a challenge, as is each of Robertson’s books, but along with what she demands of the reader, she offers plenty to enjoy, to laugh about.” —Octopus Magazine
“Roberston’s formal investigation of the epistemology of lyric poetry… mirrors the difficulty of her subjects: men, poetry, and construction of the lyric ‘I.'” —Hadara Bar-Nadav via American Book Review
