Kingston Writers Fest presents To Be Here: Writing Place, a workshop with Tanis MacDonald.

Poet Tanis Macdonald explores the questions: what is the action of being here now? How does the past inform the present? where “here” is subject to your own definition, and “history,” is your lived experience of place. Using sample pieces of writing as a model, you write a piece about place to share with the class, then begin again, adding a new approach or piece of information that occurred to you as you presented or that was prompted by the work of others. Limited enrolment.
