Incite Reading Series presents Incite: Homegrown with Chelene Knight

March 12, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Free

Incite Reading Series presents Incite:Homegrown, with Chelene Knight (author of Dear Current Occupant) and Terese Mailhot.

From the wilds of the Pacific Northwest to the visceral Downtown Eastside, geography holds a powerful role in the construction of our memories. The essential relationship between people and land is, once more, coming to the forefront of our discussions as a country. Join acclaimed Indigenous author from Seabird Island Terese Mailhot (Heart Berries), and Vancouver born-and-raised Chelene Knight (Dear Current Occupant) as they read from their new, hauntingly beautiful memoirs that explore family, love, loss, and the places that take root inside us.

Alice MacKay Room, Vancouver Public Library.

Incite is a FREE event, but registration is required: RSVP Here

Presented by the Vancouver Writers Fest with support from the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association and the Vancouver Courier.
