Phoebe Wang curates an evening to explore how poetry can embody acts of care for ourselves and for today’s urgent issues. Phoebe Wang moderates a conversation with Soraya Peerbaye and Hana Shafi which will be accompanied by short readings.

Doors will open at 6:30 pm and the event will start promptly at 7 pm.

Books will be available for purchase by Knife Fork Book. A book signing will conclude the evening.

This event is part of Toronto Public Library’s new poetry series re:verses, where we host conversations about the meaning and importance of poetry in our lives. Held on the second Thursday of the month in the theatre at Palmerston, each event is hosted by a different poet who serves as curator. The curator has creative freedom to choose what poet(s) and poetry collection(s) they would like to showcase, along with the theme and direction that the evening will take. tpl.ca/poetryseries
